Welcome to Timber Traditions
Welcome to Timber Traditions
It started with my kids.
I wanted their food prepared on a clean surface. No plastic shedding into meals. No synthetic coatings. No surfaces that looked fine but weren't. I knew hardwood was better naturally antimicrobial, non toxic, built to last. So I started making boards for my own kitchen first.
That's how Timber Traditions began.
I'm Anthony. I build every board by hand from our home in Washington State. It's a small operation by design. One maker. One standard. No shortcuts.
Every board leaves our shop finished with Odie's Oil hard wax food safe, non toxic, and built for the kitchen your family actually cooks in. Solid walnut. Solid maple. Edge grain, end grain, and face grain construction. No plastic. No synthetic finishes. No compromises on what your family's food touches.
That standard didn't come from a business plan. It came from being a father who wanted better for his kids and couldn't find it on a shelf.
Faith. Family. Craft.
Those three things are at the core of everything we build. Not as a tagline as the reason this exists.
If you're here because you want a board that's built with purpose you're in the right place.
